神秘的堡壘 No Ordinary Home

今天的大埔，花園洋房遍地，盡見豪華氣派，當中一戶2100呎的單位更內有乾坤，可謂室內設計的神來之筆。
這四層高的大宅不久前經過大翻新，其最精彩之處在於它猶如一個層次豐富的寶藏。 每走前一步，你會期待下一個驚喜，既神秘又好玩。整幢建築物由一個私人花園包圍，客人來訪時，穿過一道特製鋼門後，即見一條花園小徑，周遭碧綠青翠，生氣盎然。
地面先經過一個神秘的花園進入，之後進入開放式廚房，廚房連接一個可旋轉到不同角度的橢圓餐桌配以曲線長凳。適合唔同情況使用。 客廳最惹人注目的是一道新改建的樓梯及電視機牆身。 牆身有一條被拉開的裂縫帶出神秘感！除了上落樓梯者的一雙腳，一切都蔽於梯身之後。音響器材儲物櫃亦成為樓梯的一部份！ 還有其他神秘的地方在其他樓層。
如此有意趣的設計一直伸延至客廳，廳內一道牆為酒吧樓梯的一部分，牆上加設電視，看似懸浮於空中，牆的另一頭有一個亮著燈的細小休憩角落，亦可放置各類擺設。
地面還設有雜物房、梳粧間和工人房，前門和後門經裝修後互相交換了角色，以改善屋內人流，並方便進出停車處及花園。
一樓專為客人而設，客房和浴室為訪客增添私密度。另外還有一間大房，內設工作間、儲物組合及運動間，休閒設備如酒櫃和安樂椅等，讓人安心寫意地坐在露台上欣賞美麗海景。
二樓全層為主人房，內設衣帽間、小型工作室和偌大的套房，以黑色為主調的按摩浴池，奪目而實用。主人房每個區域都以玻璃門分隔，私密度十足。
整幢房子瀰漫著寧定的氣氛，這明顯有賴設計師所選的中性色調，另配少量黑白色，塑造出簡潔而整齊的空間。

Tai Po, known for its majestic garden houses, is home to a new architectural point of interest. The 2,100 square foot home excels at slowly revealing itself, creating a playful sense of mystery and anticipation.
Surrounded by a private garden, the renovated building is set over four floors.
When visitors come to call, they enter via a custom-crafted steel gate and are directed up a garden path surrounded by verdant natives.
Once inside, the airy open-plan kitchen features a long, oval dining table that nestles neatly against the curved kitchen bench. The kitchen leads on to the lounge area where the new, relocated staircase is the star of the show An undulating gap, along the bottom of the wall and the stairs, allows those in the lounge room to sneak just a view of the feet and nothing else.
This sense of fun is carried over to the living-room wall that forms part of the staircase. Here a television was installed to appear as if suspended in mid-air. At the other end of the wall there is a small illuminated recessed area that can display ornaments.
Also on the ground floor, there is a functional storeroom, powder room and maid’s room. The front and back entrances were swapped to improve the “flow,” and create easier access to the parking area and garden.
The first floor is set up to welcome guests, affording them extra privacy with a visitor living room, guest bedroom and bathroom, and a larger room incorporating an office space with custom storage units and exercise area. In addition, a wine fridge and relaxation chair make for a pleasurable time on the balcony which overlooks the sea.
The master bedroom suite dominates the entire second floor and includes walk-in closets, a small work-station and spacious en-suite with dramatic black plunge spa bath. To maintain privacy, each section is divided by glass doors.
A sense of calm neutrality pervades the house, notably due to the neutral tones used with the occasional addition of black and white, creating a clean, uncluttered space.
