Mr & Mrs Wong Apartment

TIA Home Design

“A 600-sq-ft home reimagined through glass, light, and Japanese calm—transforming a long-lived space into a quiet, hotel-like retreat.”

This 600-square-foot apartment had strict limitations—no changes were allowed to external piping. The homeowners, a couple who had lived here for over ten years, were ready for a fresh start.

They wanted a calm, Japanese-inspired home that felt solid and peaceful, with greenery that looked natural but required little maintenance. Storage was also important, allowing everyday items to be placed away effortlessly, without visual clutter.

We introduced glass partitions to redefine the layout, reducing the need for artificial lighting and unnecessary decoration. A bamboo-inspired glass wall became both a visual feature and a practical divider—bringing greenery into the space while improving light flow, acoustics, and spatial openness.

By re-planning the room layout and using glass, light, and natural textures, the apartment was transformed into a calm and refined living environment—offering the quiet comfort and elegance of a five-star hotel, within a private home.
