“ A calm and practical 650 sqft home in Tsing Yi, Hong Kong, featuring white oak finishes, flexible sliding doors, and a Japanese-style soaking bath designed around the homeowners’ lifestyle.”

 

This practical 650-square-foot, three-bedroom apartment is located in Tsing Yi. The homeowners had very clear ideas and specific requirements for every part of the home, and the design team worked closely with them to bring each detail to life.

The overall palette is kept clean and calm, using white oak, soft white tones, and hand-painted finishes to create a simple and comfortable living environment. One of the key requests was to enlarge the master bathroom and transform it into a relaxing space with a Japanese-style soaking bath.

Wooden sliding doors were carefully integrated to improve circulation and flexibility, particularly between the kitchen and the shoe storage area. Completed during the COVID-19 period, the project was successfully delivered on schedule just before the Christmas break — a meaningful achievement for both the homeowners and the design team.
