TIA Home Design
“ A 725 sq ft Yuen Long home designed for art lovers, where custom lighting, gallery-style walls and smart storage turn a compact space into a highly personal living experience.”
Not everyone gets their name written in lights—but in this Yuen Long home, that idea became reality. Custom geometric LED ceiling lights spell out the owners’ names, setting the tone for a space that is deeply personal and expressive.
Designed for two passionate photographers and collectors, this 725 sq ft apartment balances creativity with practicality. Although compact, clever architectural detailing and carefully planned storage make the space feel larger and more open than it is.
Art plays a central role throughout the home. White walls act as a clean gallery backdrop, while glossy black detailing frames artworks like picture borders. Recessed, illuminated niches highlight selected pieces, creating a calm, gallery-like atmosphere.
Originally a three-bedroom layout, the apartment was reconfigured to include his-and-hers studies. A custom double-sided desk allows face-to-face interaction, while glass partitions and a concealed electronic blind offer privacy when needed.
Beyond the hallway, mirrored double doors lead to the master bedroom, where an illuminated platform bed conceals generous storage beneath. Storage solutions are seamlessly integrated throughout the apartment, including the kitchen, where walls were removed to improve flow and create space for shoe storage and a wine cellar.
A fold-down dining table allows the dining area to transform easily—from hosting meals to becoming an open space for relaxation. Every design decision reflects the owners’ lifestyle, passions, and identity, turning a compact flat into a highly personalised home.
